The grandparents, Doris & Thomas Kerner, emigrated to the Greek island of Lesbos in 1989 and bought their first olive grove together with Bastian's parents, Heidi and Rolf Jordan. Surrounded by more than 100 olive trees, the family house was built and shortly afterwards the first olives were harvested.
