The Cuveé consists of 40% Dornfelder and Cabernet Mitos, a new breed from Germany, and 20% Regent.
The wine is round, strong and deep dark, so it is closer to the Mediterranean red wine type than to the Palatinate Pinot Noir.
The tannins are well integrated.
The 2009 cuvée was partly stored in large wooden barrels, partly in barriques, so that a subtle, well-woven note of wood can be tasted.
Scented with flowers (violets) and dark berries (blackberry and elderberry), fine hints of vanilla and roasted aromas.
Juicy, fruity - strong body and medium length.
Ripe, soft tannins.
